1,000 free tickets allocated for AFCCT Day!

To celebrate the ongoing success of our partner charity Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT), we are encouraging all AFC supporters to turn out for our match with Ross County at Pittodrie on Saturday 22nd February, which has been designated as this season’s AFC Community Trust Day!
In a bid to engage with schools, community groups and sports teams a number of free tickets were made available for groups to apply for.
We are delighted to be giving away 1000 tickets to all the groups that applied and look forward to seeing them at Pittodrie!
Furthermore, for this match all U18 tickets are just £1 and are available to book now online via afc.co.uk/eTickets, from the Pittodrie Ticket Office or by calling 01224 63 1903.
This fixture, now in its 4th season, will take on additional significance with the club and AFCCT winning ‘Best Professional Club’ in the prestigious 2019 UEFA Grassroots Awards.
In a collaborative approach working with the Scottish FA, the club has developed a model of best practice nationally with shared goals and resources, in a bid to develop a collective vision of increasing football participation in the region.
The UEFA Best Professional Football Club prize rewards outstanding grassroots work by a professional club, promoting in a particular a holistic approach to grassroots football and providing for a wide range of participants.
On the day and throughout the week of the match AFCCT will enjoy an increased profile throughout with various activities taking place to spread the community spirit and feel-good factor generated by our partner charity.
Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT), engages with over 20,200 people across some 227,700 participations in projects focusing on three main themes, football for life, education and healthy communities – stretching across a large geographical area which accounts for around 25% or the entire land mass of Scotland, and approximately 10% of the population.
