Aberdeen FC are delighted to announce that we have partnered up with CFINE, Scottish Government FairShare Initiative and our award-winning partner charity Aberdeen FC Community Trust to raise awareness and tackle period poverty.

Period poverty is the result of females being unable to purchase sanitary products due to lack of money.

From the start of the season, Sunday 4th August, all female toilets at Pittodrie will be stocked with free sanitary towels and tampons for supporters to use.

For the past year, free sanitary products have been available in staff toilets and in reception. Through ongoing discussions between the club and supporters, free sanitary products are now being provided in all toilets in the stadium.

We’d like to thank On The Ball for encouraging our supporters to contact us regarding period poverty.

Christine McLean, Development Worker at CFINE says:
“Period poverty is real. It exists. It’s still a taboo subject. Please help yourself to products.”

We encourage supporters to take what they need. If it is the whole pack, please take the whole pack. They are there for you to use.
