An exciting part time coaching opportunity has arisen to join the Aberdeen Youth Academy at a time when the club will soon move to a ‘state of the art’ training complex at Kingsford. The Aberdeen FC Youth Academy remains the only club with Elite status outside of central Scotland and is proud to be one of only eight clubs who have achieved and retained this position again this season.

The club is an ambitious organisation looking towards further success and long-term sustainability in support of our football team by adding value across every area of our day to day business for the overall benefit of our staff, supporters and clients.

By adopting the coaching philosophy and values of Aberdeen Football Club, this position primarily focuses on the development of individual youth players within a team environment. The role will involve guiding players through the club’s performance environment and helping individuals fulfil their potential, whilst playing in Club Academy Scotland programme. There is also an expectation for Academy coaching staff to travel to top level European Academy tournaments and undertake a personal Coach Development plan.

This coaching position is a part time role covering 3 training sessions and 1 match on a weekly basis.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years working with a youth academy and must be qualified to UEFA A Licence or Elite Youth A Licence level.

Interviews for this role are expected to start the week commencing 1st July 2019 and will involve both formal and practical elements of the recruitment process. The successful candidate will be required to start no later than August 2019.
