Ahead of the 2018/19 season AFC appealed to supporters to get involved with the newly created AFC Supporter Forum.

The Forum was created to provide an additional channel for the club to discuss important issues with supporters and be transparent about the decision-making process at AFC. Throughout the inaugural season the Forum has met on four occasions with supporters involved having an opportunity to put their views across on a range of topics including development plans at Kingsford.

The Forum will remain in place for the 2019/20 season with existing members to remain in place to ensure some continuity at this early stage. Based on feedback from members, meetings will also take place more regularly throughout next season to help maintain momentum with the aim of leading to more direct action and engagement with supporters.

Reflecting on the first season of the Supporter Forum, Lynn Fiske (SLO) commented, “I am pleased with how the Forum has developed over its first season. It was established with the aim to enhance the engagement and positive dialogue between the club and supporters. I feel it is vital that supporters have as many channels as possible to bring their views, concerns and ideas to the club and the discussions and questions raised have been worthwhile.

“There is a section on the website where the minutes from the meetings can be read by all supporters. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Forum members for their commitment and also to thank those supporters who have contacted me with their feedback and suggestions.”
