“We were pleased with the start of the game and we came out really well. We got the goal and the disappointing things were the goals we gave away. For me the three goals are very much preventable, the first one in particular and to go hand them a goal is a big part of the game. The response when we lose that goal needs to be better and we ended up conceded the second goal too cheaply.

“The conditions played a part, but second half we huffed and puffed a bit and we’re disappointed that we didn’t bring more to it.

“We were limited in terms of the under 18s and we only had three of that age out there. Saying that we should have brought more to the game.

“Archie certainly second half made two or three good saves, which you expect from him. Lewis Duncan started the game really well and second half we struggled to get the ball out to him, which is in part to the conditions.

“Individually we never won enough our battles to be more prominent in the game.

“Dean Campbell would make a difference as he’s a good player and that’s why he’s in the first team. You’ve got to deal with the fact he could be involved in the first team, but that just allows someone else to step in.

“Dean’s definitely one for them to look up to and hopefully they can find a level that allows them to kick on, but unfortunately we didn’t find it today.”
