Fans travelling to Ibrox on Wednesday night.

Parking

People attending events at Ibrox Stadium should be aware that the roads around the stadium are mainly residential and there is very limited parking for private cars.

There will be dedicated free parking for cars and buses in the away support car park in Broomloan Road located near to the North West of the stadium which will be the access point for the away support.

BUSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PARK ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THIS CAR PARK.

Police and stewards will be in attendance throughout. Police Scotland will facilitate the movement of coaches and other vehicles to the motorway at the end of the game. Aberdeen supporters must ensure they get to the parking area in sufficient time, with the stadium being approximately five mins walk from there.

Please be aware of Glasgow City Council Parking Controls – Event Day Parking Zone – which affects streets near to Ibrox Stadium and will come into force during all football matches. People must not park in streets, near to Ibrox Stadium, which have been coned by Glasgow City Council.

Entry

Supporters travelling to the match should arrive at the stadium in plenty of time. Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before KO.

Aberdeen supporters will enter through turnstiles 76 and 77.

Police and stewards will be on hand to carry out searches for prohibited items. Strictly no pyrotechnics please. Advanced CCTV equipment is in place at the stadium. DO NOT be tempted to throw any items.

This has happened in the past. There is a good chance of being caught.

Exit

Aberdeen supporters will be held back for 15-20 minutes at the end of the game to allow the majority of home supporters to leave the area. The hold back means supporters will be kept in the seated area. Therefore please try to use toileting facilities before the 80 minute mark as this assists the Safety Team in ensuring a safe departure.

Flags

There will be limited room to display larger than normal flags. Surfing flags are not permitted. All flags will be scrutinised by the safety team before entry is permitted. Smoking is prohibited in the stadium. E-cigarettes are not permitted in the seated areas.

PRE-MATCH TRAVEL ADVICE

Please check with Traffic Scotland for any road works and delays a day prior to your journey and on the day. Leave plenty of time to make the journey. There are road works on the southbound embankment next to the A90 South of the Bridge of Muchalls, helping to strengthen the area and ensure the road continues to function safely. To keep roadworkers as well as road users safe, a single-lane closure will be in place continuously for five days from Monday 3 December at 9.30am until Friday 7 December at 3.30pm.

All Aberdeen supporters’ coaches and private vehicles travelling along the M74 should exit the M8 at junction 23 (signposted Govan & Dumbreck) turning right towards Ibrox Stadium, north on Broomloan Road, travelling through the roundabout, where they will park as directed within the Broomloan Road car park.

All Aberdeen supporters’ coaches and private vehicles crossing the Kingston Bridge should exit the M8 at junction 24 (signposted Govan) turning right towards Asda, north on Helen Street, before turning right at the roundabout onto Edmiston Drive. Travel east on Edmiston Drive, before turning left at the roundabout onto Broomloan Road, where they will park as directed within the Broomloan Road car park.

POST-MATCH TRAVEL ADVICE

The Aberdeen supporters should exit the car park turning right, north on Broomloan Road towards the M8 motorway, and will be assisted by the police motorcyclists. All vehicles within the car park will be held for a short time and will all leave in convoy. The advice is to stay clear of the M73/M74 area.

ROADSIDE VEHICLE CHECKS

In Scotland, it is an offence to possess or consume alcohol on board a public service vehicle, or a railway vehicle which is attending a designated sporting event. The legislation in relation to this is stated within section 19 of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995.

SPFL GUIDELINES

The Ibrox ground regulations will be displayed throughout the stadium. They are no different from our own at Pittodrie.

Safe travels everyone and enjoy the game. COYR.
