Aberdeen beginning their SFA Youth Cup campaign on Thursday night when they travel to Harlaw Park to play Highland League side Inverurie Loco’s.

The Dons were runners up in the competition last season after a tremendous run saw them get through to the final where they lost 3-1 to Hibs. First team players Connor McLennan, Bruce Anderson and Frank Ross all played in that game.

This year the competition reverts back to U18 teams. So Scott Anderson and Barry Robson’s side, who playing in the Club Scotland U18 League, will compete for the cup.
