RedMatchday magazine has been named the best in the Ladbrokes Premiership for season 2017/18.

The publication has now been named the best in the division for the 17th year in succession.

RedMatchday fought off stiff competition from Motherwell who were second and Hearts who came in third. It was the same one two three as last season.

Programme Monthly, who sponsor the awards said:

RedMatchday 02

“Quite simply, the Aberdeen issue continues to set the standard in terms of content and design. That it has not particularly altered that recipe in recent years is no criticism. Rather it continues to provide a deep, informative read. As such it remains as the studious, well-bred issue of the Scottish game – an issue packed with historical articles and reflective thinking to the extent that any adverts almost come as a shock. Design is innovative, complimentary and often stunning. Using relatively small text the reading is packed in. A typical issue has its’ opening half dedicated to the current-day, with player interviews and columns, although perhaps the photographs dominate. The second half is the treat, however, with historical coverage ranging from ‘On This Day’ to photographs and several more reflections on times past. Only in the final pages does the pace slacken as statistics are grouped together. Yet even those are thoughtfully designed. Aberdeen’s programme is not revolutionary but does deliver on every point and the only question that remains is where it can go from here.”

RedMatchday is produced by CurtisSport and designed by Bluechilli, with Karl Wheeler  being in charge of the superb design work.

Thank you to all our contributors who have written for the programme during the 2017/18 season. A big thanks to Dolly Digital for his superb cover artwork.

Thanks to all of our sellers who get your copy into your hands, whatever the weather!

And, most importantly, on behalf of the RedMatchday team, thank you again to all of you who continue to make this programme a part of your matchday ritual and buy the publication.
