The annual Aberdeen Football Club Player of the Year Dinner took place this evening at the AECC Exhibition Centre. The club were delighted to welcome over 740 guests to our seventh official Player of the Year Dinner.

This award Logistics recognises the outstanding contribution made by an individual, group or organisation in support of the AFC Community Trust vision, which is.. “To provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better.” The winner was chosen by the Trust management team.

DEVELOPMENT PLAYER OF THE YEAR

DEVELOPMENT PLAYER OF THE YEAR SPONSORED BY CENTRAL COACHES

The winner of this award has been selected by Derek McInnes and Paul Sheerin and has been based on the contribution that this player has made to the Development Team over the course of the season.

Our 2017/18 DEVELOPMENT PLAYER OF THE YEAR IS SEB ROSS

YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Our next award is for the YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR SPONSORED BY ESWL.

This award was once again selected by the Manager, Derek McInnes and his management team.

Our YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR IS SCOTT MCKENNA

This award was voted for by the Red Army through afc.co.uk with the RedTV commentary team drawing up the shortlist.

PLAYERS’ PLAYER OF THE YEAR

This award allows the players themselves to select a team-mate who they believe has made the biggest contribution to the team during the season. The award is voted for by all first team players via a private ballot.

And finally our main award.

We gave supporters the opportunity to vote for their Player of the Year and via afc.co.uk, fans were asked to select the player they feel has had the biggest impact on first team performances this season and who subsequently deserves to be the recipient of this coveted award for 2017/2018.

The three players who received the most votes, in alphabetical order were – SCOTT McKENNA, KENNY McLEAN and GRAEME SHINNIE
