The Captain Post Match at Ibrox
Graeme Shinnie speaking after the game
“A very frustrating night.
“Too many times I have been sitting here saying it. It is easy for me to talk and say this and that, but it was not good enough again.
“We need to be more demanding of ourselves. We need to be more clinical at both ends of the pitch.
“Even after we go 2-0 down, we have four or five good chances. One of them has to go in.
“The goals we lost were sloppy as well.
“We need to do a lot better.
“It is not good enough.
“There was not much in the game. As I said we need to be more clinical at both ends. The goals that we concede are so frustrating. They give the other team a lift. And then at the other end we need to do better with the chances we had.
“At places like this, if you get opportunities, you need to take them. We didn’t, and we got what we deserved.
“We always knew it would be a fight for second spot. We knew that from the start of the season.
“We need to pick ourselves up and go again on Saturday. That is all we can really do now. It was a very disappointing night but we have to have a look back at the game and pick the bones out of it.
“Football is a job where you need to get going again and there is no bigger game than Saturday.
“I won’t need to lift the heads of the boys because they will also all want to bounce back on Saturday.
“We need to be better.
“We need to take the criticism that comes our way. We have been losing too many of these games. Criticism comes when you lose football games. Especially against Celtic and Rangers.
“We won here last year which was a good feeling. But we have not won here this year or at Celtic Park.
“We have to take our chances. We have not done that. We do not score enough goals (in these games). And we also need to stop giving away sloppy goals.
“It is frustrating. We beat St Mirren 4-1 o Saturday without really playing well. We were clinical against them and we should have been again tonight.
“We have good talent in the squad. It is just about putting it together and playing well.”
