The October monthly award for the younger age groups within the academy goes to Lancelot Pollard.   

During the month, the Under 11s striker regularly played up with the 12s and managed to score 13 goals in 5 matches.  Having had an individual focus to develop his finishing this season, he’s now clearly adding more goals to his game.  His highlight during the month was his performance against Rangers, where he used his skill and creativity to dominate 1v1 situations and create chances for himself and his team mates. 

Head of Youth Academy, Neil Simpson praised Lancelot’s progress by saying ‘We’ve been delighted with his improvements so far this season and he’s now taking more chances in games, which is something that he’s been working on at training and in his own time.  He fully deserved to win this award in October for some stand out performances at the younger age groups and I’m sure he’ll be determined to keep getting better as the season progresses.’
