Travel Advice for Aberdeen Supporters:
Aberdeen supporters attending the match should make regular checks with Traffic Scotland if they are travelling by road. They should also listen to traffic updates on the radio. Be mindful of the possible delays on the new Queensferry Crossing which can be variable. Leave extra time to combat this.
Aberdeen supporters travelling south by train have various options, depending on routes:
i. Direct trains from Aberdeen to Edinburgh will stop at Haymarket train station. Fans arriving here should make their way west along Haymarket Terrace and West Coates Road towards BT Murrayfield. Arriving at Murrayfield, Aberdeen fans will be directed to the North turnstiles.
ii. Other trains from the north may stop at Edinburgh Gateway. Fans can disembark here and take a tram to the Balgreen tram stop. The Murrayfield and Roseburn areas are a 10 minute walk from this tram stop and there are a number of public houses and shops in this area.
Aberdeen fans are advised not to use the tram to travel all the way to BT Murrayfield as the associated tram stop is some distance from the away fans entrance.
Aberdeen fans who travel into Edinburgh city centre are encouraged to walk, take a taxi or a bus to get to the Murrayfield area where access to the north turnstiles can be gained.
Fans traveling by car or bus, should leave plenty of time for their journey.
(please note there will be a full supporter information guide on Thursday after the pre-ops meeting)
