Vattenfall Award of the Month - AFCCT North Region Girls Football League

30 June 2017

The Vattenfall Award of the Month recognises outstanding commitment to the girls’ game from an individual, whether that be a player, coach or volunteer.

The winner of this award for June is Michela Ferdinando, a young talented player who currently plays for Dyce Girls, as well as attending the AFCCT Advanced Skill Centre aimed at improving 1v1 and technical skills.

Colin McKenzie, Dyce U11 coach, said: “Michela is developing into an excellent footballer and works extremely hard to build upon her skills.

“Whether in matches or at training, Michela always tries her best and is beginning to become an excellent role model to the younger members of the Club, leading by example both on and off the pitch.”

AFCCT Assistant Community Coach, Laura Westland, added, “Michela is one of the most talented young girls I have seen at her age, her focus and drive to be the best she can possibly be is evident each and every week.

“Her skills are improving regularly, becoming faster, and she is now taking these into games to beat opponents in a 1v1 situation on a regular basis. Her dedication over the past year is what makes her very deserving of this award.”

Well done from everyone at Aberdeen FC Community Trust!
