Aberdeen FC launches partnership with Fortress GB

Aberdeen FC today announced a new partnership with Fortress GB, the leading provider of venue access control in professional sports. Starting this season, Aberdeen FC will introduce the Fortress One Venue Access Solution, which will ensure that all fans can access the stadium in just minutes through a safe, and secure ticket scanning solution.

Fortress’s innovative technology will allow Aberdeen fans to quickly, easily, and safely enter Pittodrie Stadium so they don’t miss a minute of the action on the field. The latest Fortress system will allow the club to offer access to the stadium through season cards, member cards as well as an option to print tickets at home with a barcode from first day of sale. This cutting-edge technology could also be migrated successfully to the new stadium facility at Kingsford should planning permission be granted.

The installation of the latest version of the Fortress One platform will allow the club to introduce other innovative supporter services during the partnership period, with one key area being the use of mobile devices which is currently being trialed at English Championship side Derby County.

Installation of the Fortress technology is currently underway at Pittodrie and we will provide further updates across the summer to showcase the changes our fans can expect when they visit the stadium next season.
