St Johnstone Post Match | Andrew Considine

29 April 2017

Andrew Considine

“We had a couple of good chances first half.

“I recon if one of those go in it is a completely different ball game. Both sides did not really create anything. Their two goals came out of nowhere. I thought we dominated midfield but it became a very scrappy game. It was not a great to play in. I am sure it was not a great game to watch.

“St Johnstone came up here with a game plan and fair play to them it worked.

“When you are playing against St Johnstone you do not get many chances. We did not have many chances two weeks ago down there but we were more clinical. We were not clinical today and paid the price.

“At the end of the day it is a wakeup call for us because there is still a lot to play for and a lot of work to be done. We are nine points ahead but there are four games to play. We therefore have five huge games (including the cup final) to play starting with Hearts next Sunday. We need to knuckle down and still be positive.

“We need to get a good training week in and then get ready and look forward to Hearts on Sunday.

“Today was just an off day but we can’t afford too many of those. As I say we will have a really positive training week and get our heads screwed on for Sunday.”
