Peter Pawlett Post Match on RedTV

05 March 2017

Peter Pawlett

“It was a tough game.

“Conditions did not help and the ball was not on the floor much. It spent a lot of time in the air but I though we dealt well with the conditions and I am absolutely delighted to get through to the semi-final.

“I enjoyed the game.

“Obviously I want to play as much as possible and was delighted to start the game today. Hopefully I can push on now and get the opportunity again. Hopefully I can keep my place in the side. I want to play week in week out.

“Because of the injuries, the squad had to play their part today and I thought all the boys did well. I thought Jayden was excellent for us. He fought with their centre half’s, he won headers and he always makes it difficult for opposition players. He came in and did very well today so I am pleased for him.

“It is a squad game and boys need to be ready for when they come in.

“I have been keeping myself fit by doing extra stuff with Graham Kirk. So I feel good and ready to go.

“It was a great finish by Graeme. He just guided it into the bottom corner. So I was delighted for him. I think he was brilliant today as well. He really drove us forward and got us going.

“Hibs are the Scottish Cup holders so it will be a very tough game in the semi-final. Whoever we got was going to be a difficult game. It is a semi-final, anything can happen on the day. I am looking forward to going back to Hampden.”
