Coaching Masterclass

Aberdeen FC Youth Academy will be hosting an open coaching master class which will be delivered by renowned former Real Madrid reserve and youth coaches Jose Manuel Gil Delgado and Luis Miguel Ramis. 

Football coaches of all levels are invited to attend a practical session at Aberdeen Sports Village from 6.00-7.30pm with a follow on presentation and Q&A being held in the Aberdeen Asset Management Suit at Pittodrie Stadium from 8.00-9.00pm on the 23rd February 2017. 
 
Jose Manuel Gil Delgado spent 12 seasons at Real Madrid and coached squads from U10s through to the Castillia during that time.  A UEFA Pro Licence holder, Jose Manuel was the Director of Academy teams from 2007-2009 and then went on to become the co-ordinator of the Football Methodology Department at Real Madrid and was key to the development of the current Real Madrid methodology implementation.  Jose Manuel is a Graduate in Physical Education and has Master’s Degrees in Sports Management, Pedagogy and Sports Facilities Management, along with a Bachelor in Physical Activities Science and Sports form the University of Madrid.

Luis joined Real Madrid as a player in 1991/92 from Gimnàstic de Tarragona, before going on to play for CD Tenerife, Sevillia FC, Deportivo de la Coruña and Real Racing Club De Satnader.  He retired from his professional playing career at the end of 2005/06 season and joined the coaching staff at Real Madrid an in the 2006/07 season and assisted with leading the U19 squad in lifting the Champions Cup.
Luis Miguel is also a UEFA Pro Licence qualified coach who spent 10 years at Real Madrid, coaching squads from the U16s through to the Castilla team.  He lead the U19 squad to semi-finals of the UEFA Youth Champions League and victory in the Champions Cup in 2013/14.
