The former Scotland U19 captain, who is 20 on Saturday, made his first team debut last season in the 4-3 over St Johnstone and then made two further two appearances. The central defender signed a new two year deal in March.
Meanwhile Joe Nuttall will join Stranraer.
Brought up in Bury and product of the Manchester City FC Youth Academy, the 19-year-old took the trip up north at the beginning of the 2015-16 season when he put pen to paper on a two year contract. The striker notched 11 goals in his first season for the U20 Development League side and managed to make two first team appearances at the end of last season. So far Joe has netted on 12 occasions for Paul Sheerin’s side already during this season.
Both players will be available for games this weekend. Stranraer face Albion Rovers away in League One on Saturday and the following day Ayr United will play St Mirren away in the Championship.
Emergency loans are for a period of 28 days.
The other Dons currently out on loan at the moment are: Lawrence Shankland (St Mirren), Danny Rogers (Falkirk), Cammy Smith (Dundee United), Daniel Harvie (Dumbarton), Robbie Mutch (Arbroath), Aaron Lennox (Raith Rovers).
