Local Information

Supporters are asked to carry Passport ID at all times.

The British Embassy is contactable 24 hours. Telephone 00352229864 and choose option “consular services”.

To contact the Police, dial 113.  The main Police Station is located at 4 Rue du Fort Wallis, 2714 Luxembourg.

Care should be taken in the area around the Central Station (gate central), especially at night.

Like most Cities, pick pocketing and credit card fraud are a risk.  DO NOT leave mobile phones and wallets on tables, for example.

The British Embassy advises that there are no particular laws we need to be aware of.

The Stadium

The Stade Josy Barthel is the National Stadium of Luxembourg.  It is located at 1 Rue du Stade, 1140, Luxembourg.  It has a capacity of around 8,000.

The best way to get to the stadium is by bus 22 from the Central Station. If travelling from the airport, take the 9 or 16 bus to town (Centre Hamilius) and then the 22 bus to the Route d'arlon football stadium.

There are no particular dangers in and around the stadium.

Police and Stewards will be on duty inside and outside the stadium.

Aberdeen supporters who have bought tickets from AFC will be situated in Section A on the North side of the ground. This is accessed via the Rue du Stade. A separate entrance is set aside for Aberdeen supporters on the North East corner of the ground.

All supporters will be subjected to body searches. Please co-operate with this, thank you.

Cigarette lighters, anything that produces a flame, large metal tipped umbrellas and any metallic items are prohibited. Please abide by our own standards of conduct and ground regulations.

Drunkenness and inappropriate conduct will result in refusal of entry. Please don't miss the game.

Supporters will not be held back after the final whistle unless an issue arises.

There are no bars near the stadium but we are advised that non-alcoholic beverages are sold in the stadium and a kiosk is accessible to Aberdeen supporters.
