Since being established as a registered charity in 2014 AFC Community Trust’s vision has been to provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better by using the high profile of Aberdeen FC and the enduring attraction of football and sport in general.

AFCCT now delivers a wide range of inclusive community initiatives across the North-East of Scotland and beyond in close partnership with various organisations, other charities and like-minded individuals.

Positive engagement with ethnic and religious groups is an important aspect of AFCCT’s wider community involvement. Harley Hamdani has recently been appointed as SFA Football Equity Officer and has already made significant progress introducing football participation centres for girls and boys.

A local grassroots club now delivers some of these programmes on behalf of AFCCT, further integrating a wide variety of backgrounds using the international language of football.
