Mark Reynolds Post Match

31 October 2015

“It is a very disappointing result for us.

“I thought for the first half we played well. We took the game to them at times which caused them a few problems. The game play was to go and frustrate them and maybe get the crowd on their backs and then work our way into the game. I felt we did that bit then we lose a poor goal. It is a poor goal by the standards we have set ourselves.

“We let Griffiths get in between two defenders but there were mistakes before then. We did not clear our lines properly and we let the cross come in too easily. It was just error after error.

“Even after that we still looked strong but the second goal has killed us. Again it was a goal that could have been avoided. 2-0 down and then it is a real uphill struggle.

“I thought there were positives from today. We were in the game and we created some chances and played some nice football but it is a tough venue to come to and it becomes even tougher when you give away cheap goals. It was always going to be an uphill struggle from then on.

“We did not make them work hard enough for their goals.

“They have good players and are a good team and we knew it was going to be a very tough game but as I say it is disappointing the manner in which we lost the goals. If they have scored with a wonder striker then you put your hands up and say fair enough but we did not make them work for it.

“We knew we could and probably would score a goal but you can’t come here expecting to score three or four goals to win a game.”
