Danny Rogers joins Falkirk on loan
Aberdeen goalkeeper Danny Rogers has this evening joined Falkirk on loan.
The Ireland U21 international will spend the 2015/16 season with the Scottish Cup finalists.
The 21 year old was on loan at fellow Championship side Dumbarton last season and had a very successful spell there, being named their Player of the Year. This further loan spell is just another important step in the development of a player everyone at Pittodrie thinks very highly of.
Danny told afc.co.uk “Going out on loan last season was good and I did quite well. This, however, is a new challenge. Falkirk are a big club who have big expectations and had a good season last year and will be looking to kick on this year.
“I feel at this stage of my career it is important to try and play on a regular basis and going to Falkirk will hopefully give me that opportunity.
“It is up to me to go to Falkirk and do well and then to come back next season to Aberdeen and challenge for that number one jersey.
“I am excited about the year ahead as I have forced my way into the starting XI for the Ireland U21s. I was number two for a few years. Hopefully I can keep my spot and get some caps under my belt which will be a great experience.
“I feel my career is going in the right direction and I just need to keep working hard.”
