Over the course of the 2014/15 season a number of local schools, youth clubs and amateur sports teams have taken advantage of our fundraising through football scheme, Dons Day Out.

The scheme, which is sponsored by CNR International (UK) Ltd, allows non-profit organisations the chance to receive cash-back on tickets for Scottish Premiership matches at Pittodrie.

This innovative scheme allows youngsters to raise much needed funds for their group and enjoy a great day out at the football in the process.

Don’t just take our word for it, here is some feedback from groups who have enjoyed a Dons Day Out already this season!

Milltimber School

‘Apart from the obvious highlight being a win for Aberdeen, it was great that so many children could enjoy their first trip to a football match with a number of their friends.  Being in the 'Family Stand' meant it was also a friendly atmosphere. We would certainly recommend a Dons Day Out as a way of raising valuable funds.’

‘The money raised will mean that the PTA will be able to contribute to worthwhile materials that the school budget doesn't cover.  For example, in the past we have bought board games and a Wii for the children to enjoy during 'Golden Time'.’
 
Invercairn Juniors

‘Invercairn Juniors attended a Dons Day out in November 2014 with sixty adults and children of the primary school Football club.  The money raised has been used to have a family night at the local ten pin bowling centre and also purchase new football strips for the children.’

‘The highlight was getting together with the children and families of the club and experiencing a match day at Pittodrie.  We also received thirty photographs of the children with Angus the Bull to hand out to the children a few weeks later from AFC, this was a special memento for each child.’ 

‘I would recommend a Dons Day out to any group looking for something to enjoy and carry out fundraising at the same time.  The bus dropped us off just outside, we were swiftly taken to have our photo with Angus the Bull and then taken to our seats.  At the end of the match we were escorted out of Pittodrie with the bus right outside the gate.  A well organised team from Aberdeen make everything from booking to receiving your cheque a few weeks later effortless.’

‘Watching the Dons win was the highlight for us. We would recommend Dons Day Out for other groups, as it’s a good way to enjoy a day out together as a group and raise money for whatever funds each group needs.  The money we raised is going towards our fund raising for our Barcelona trip in 2017.’

How does it work?

Groups buy a minimum of 10 tickets (5 of which must be adult) for any Scottish Premiership match at Pittodrie.

The club will then give the group a cheque for 50% of the total value of the group ticket purchase amount.

Groups of 50 or more will be able to select a delegation of 3 to be presented with their cheque pitch side before kick-off.

Our mascot, Angus the Bull is on hand to meet participants for a pre-match photo and every participant also receives a Dons Day Out t-shirt along with an inflatable hand ahead of the match to help roar on The Reds throughout the 90 minutes!

Car Park

Pittodrie has a very limited number of parking spaces available on a matchday. If you are bringing your Dons Day Out group by a mini bus or coach, we will do our best to allocate a parking space to you. Please ask when you book.

How to book

First, decide which match you would like to attend, and how many tickets you require.
Please call 01224 63 1903 and ask for Lynn Fiske, our Dons Day Out co-ordinator who will be happy to assist with your booking.

We will contact you to confirm your booking and arrange for distribution of your tickets and t-shirts. Your group will receive the cashback cheque within a fortnight of the match.
