RedMatchday 08 | preview

26 September 2014

RedMatchday magazine is a bumper 84 pages and still only costs £3

In RedMatchday 08 on Saturday there is an in-depth interview with Cammy Smith:

“There are players knocking on the door, but I think that has been the case since I came into the club as a full time player. There have always been young boys ready to step up to the mark, ready to show what they can do and it is no different this year. The U20s have put in some very good performances this season. We are the top scorers in the league and we have played some very good attacking football.

“I feel as if I am ready to play in the first team. Probably a lot of it is just feeling sharper. That comes from having a season under my belt with 20 odd appearances in the first team, training day in day out, learning from the manager and the coaching staff and also within the international set up, learning from the coaches there as well as learning from different players from the different clubs.”

“Watching the team from the bench can be frustrating at times because I am such a big Aberdeen fan. It is like watching your favourite team play on TV, you just want them to do something good! However watching a game from the bench or the stands or from the comfort of your own home is easy compared with playing. I often have discussions with my friends who say you should have done this or done that. When you are actually on the pitch, you find out how hard it is!”

Plus: Adam Rooney, Cem Felek, Arild Stavrum, Derek McInnes and Russell Anderson and all the usual columnists and features.
