04 August 2014

Aberdeen Football Club are pleased to launch their new digital platform

Designed and delivered by digital sports agency, Sotic, the web and mobile site provides more content across multiple platforms enhancing interaction and engagement with the Red Army worldwide.
One key new element, is the live scoring home page bringing the match day experience to life online. The detailed in-game stats for the team and players per season give fans a new depth of information and the historical interactive timeline will appeal to the most passionate supporter.

As the lead agency for the design and build with a best of breed solution, Sotic has worked in partnership with Opta on the performance and match data delivery, Opentext for Content, Asset and Customer Experience Management and Highwinds for Content Delivery.

“The new digital platform provides our fans with a real accessible and informative multichannel environment,” Aberdeen’s IT Manager, David Bowman said. “The live interactive platform in particular will bring fans closer to the match day experience. The process for delivery of the new site has been seamless and proficient and we look forward to working with Sotic over the next five years to further enhance the online presence in the ever changing digital environment.”

Roland Mercer, Head of Production at Sotic added: “We have enjoyed working with Aberdeen FC to deliver the club, its fans and stakeholders an interactive site that brings fans closer to the action. The multichannel platform utilises Aberdeen’s rich library of digital assets, delivering an adaptive customer experience to meet the needs of the worldwide fans.”

Website users:

With us moving from our old website to the new please note there may be some disruption over a short period of time as the DNS servers propagate the change of servers globally.  This can often take about 24-48 hours. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

REDTV Subscribers:

With the new website now launched, our full attention will now turn to improving our REDTV and REDTV International product including better compatibility with tablets and smart devices. Work is currently ongoing behind the scenes but in the meantime the current platform with Perform will remain in place for the time being.
As always we welcome your feedback and suggestions at redtv@afc.co.uk
