Aberdeen FC is proud to be a thriving, community driven football club who aim to have a positive impact far beyond the 90 minutes on the pitch

. We recognise our unique standing in the local community and appreciate the importance of giving something back as we actively engage with the local communities that support and sustain the club.

Here is a small taster of the recent activity that various representatives of the football club have undertaken this past while in our efforts to interact with our local community.

The Scottish League Cup paid a visit to Aboyne Soccer Sevens where the youngsters were delighted to have their photo taken with it.


Craig Brown visited Fishermoss School in Portlethen where he presented awards to every class from Nursery to P7. Only a day after the new AFC kit went on sale, it was great to see so many youngsters wearing the Dons’ replica strip.


Angus the Bull has been a very busy Bull with visits all over Aberdeen City and Shire: He attended the Ellon Roundtable Gala Event, Brimmond School Family Fun Day, Kintore United 4v4 Football Festival, Culter Youth Football Club Presentation Night, Kintore Primary Football Tournament, Hazelhead Primary School Summer Fair, Cults Primary FC Trophy Presentation, Kellands Primary School Summer Fair and the Aboyne Soccer Sevens End of Season Event!


Vice Chairman, George Yule, and Head of Aberdeen FC Community Trust, Ally Prockter, visited ARCHER where John Norrie, lifelong AFC supporter, had the opportunity to have his photo taken with the Scottish League Cup along with Kenny Dey, Managing Director and Manager Platform Drilling.


The opening of the new pavilion at Ardallie FC, near Ellon, was performed by Craig Brown on Saturday 7th June. The impressive new structure, which took many months to construct, is a multi-purpose facility which will undoubtedly enhance the local environment.


Vice Chairman, George Yule visited the fishing village of Hopeman with the Scottish League Cup, where local residents held an Open Day at their newly refurbished sports field and pavilion. Also attending the Open Day were Ian Jack, Board member, Ally Prockter, Head of the Aberdeen FC Community Trust and Brian Wright, Community Coach and Area Lead Scout. To round off a most enjoyable trip to the Moray area, the group of fans donated a significant amount of money to the recently established Aberdeen FC Community Trust to assist in delivering that charity’s community initiatives.


On Sunday 8th June, Craig Brown and Barry Robson attended the Presentation night in Inverurie for Colony Park FC. The Town Hall was filled to capacity with dozens of volunteer coaches and more than 400 players of all age groups immaculately turned out to acknowledge the winners of Players’ Player of the Year and Manager’s Player of the Year at each age level. Craig Brown gave a short talk and Barry Robson, a former player of Colony Park, answered some questions.


Angus the Bull went along to the Oldmeldrum Sport and Highland Games, which were opened by AFC Vice Chairman, George Yule, where he was joined by the AFC Club Shop merchandise unit which ensured all the Dons daft youngsters could get all of their AFC essentials.


Aberdeen FC Community Trust attended The Scottish Kids Show where youngsters had a go of their brand new Speed Cage. The AFC Club Shop also had a stand where they showcased their fantastic range of kids and baby wear. Angus the Bull also made an appearance for the Mascot Photo at the event.


Pittodrie welcomed the Queen’s Baton Relay with the Aberdeen FC Community Trust providing activities for kids as well as a visit from Angus the Bull and Si the Seagull.


Coaches from Aberdeen FC Community Trust co-ordinated a football festival at Knockburn Loch for over 50 boys and girls from Drumoak, Durris, Finzean, Lairhillock and Lumphanan schools. With the magnificent back drop of Royal Deeside and fantastic weather the boys and girls played small sided games, scored lots of goals at shooting stations and received coaching on dribbling and 1v1 skills. Head of Youth Academy Neil Simpson paid the kids a visit along with the Scottish League Trophy. The excellent facility which is owned by Bert McIntosh director of McIntosh Plant Hire allowed the kids to have a fun filled day and every pupil left with a goody bag.
