Local Finals Return To Pittodrie

Two Finals kicking off tomorrow

This season sees the return of local cup finals to Pittodrie Stadium following an absence of more than a decade with the first two taking place tomorrow (Thursday).

First up is the Aberdeen Secondary Schools Football Association AFC Trophy climax between Harlaw Academy and Inverurie Academy which kicks off at 4.15 pm. The game will be 35 minutes each way with penalty kicks if level at full time. Head of AFC in the Community Ally Prockter will present the trophy and medals at the end of the match. Entry for spectators is free.

At 7.45 pm, Cowie Thistle and Sportsman’s Club will contest the Aberdeenshire Amateur Football Association AFC Trophy Final, with extra time and penalty kicks if required. Former Don Ian Taylor will present the medals and entry is £2 for adults and £1 for concessions.

Next Thursday, the 9th May, stages the Aberdeenshire Juvenile Football Association President’s Cup Final between Culter Boys Club and Glentanar Boys Club at 4.30 pm, followed by the SJFA McBookie.com McLeman Cup Final involving Culter and FC Stoneywood at 8 pm.
