Clydesdale Bank SPL | Pittodrie | 3.00pm KO | FT | Att: 6,443

Derek McInnes saw his side take all three points in his first game in charge at Pittodrie since taking over as Dons boss.

The manager made four chances to the starting XI that drew with Hibs on Monday night. One of the players coming into the side was 17 year old Craig Storie who has been impressing for the U20s this season.

Niall McGinn was the match winner again with a superb curling effort after just 4 minutes. It was the strikers 20th goal of the season, 19th in the SPL and arguably his best yet.

The remainder of the first half saw few chances for either side. In the second period the Dons had numerous chances however they were thwarted on a couple of occasions by Cammy Bell in the Killie goal. Both McGinn and Magennis should have scored though.

The home side couldn’t add another goal but kept another clean sheet to record a victory and move above the Ayrshire side in the SPL table ahead of next Sunday’s clash with Dundee.
