Shocking defending cost the points tonight and following two minutes of madness in the second half the Dons never looked like taking anything from the match. Saints opened the scoring in the first half when Osbourne was short with a pass back allowing Tade to pounce and coolly round Langfield to open the scoring. A minute early Langfield had made a brilliant save to prevent the same player from scoring after being put clean through. The former Raith Rovers and Inverness CT player seems to enjoy scoring against the Dons.
A minute from the break Niall McGinn was back to his predatory best when he pounced on a superb cross from Josh Magennis and fired the ball into the roof of the net.
Then those two minutes of madness midway through the second half sunk the Dons just as they had taken control of the match. First Vine and then MacKay grateful accepted the gifts given to them by the Aberdeen defence.
Manager Craig Brown will be disappointed with the manner of this defeat as his team continues to slip down the SPL.
Onto Sunday.
