“The disappointing thing from Sunday was that we had a real go at them but things did not fall our way.
“Training has been really good this week. It is important we keep a level head and don’t forget about all the good things we done so far this season. We have to take the positives from the start of the season and take them into the game on Friday.
“Marley is a loss. It is really disappointing. Ryan Hedges and myself have built a good dynamic with him. He is a really important player for us.
“It is also really disappointing for Marley and he was beginning to really hit some form. It is just part of the highs and lows of football. Thankfully we do have some good options here with Sam and Ryan Edmondson and Curtis as well.
“On a personal level, I feel that there is a lot more to come from myself. I feel that I can add more goals and more assists to my game. I am really enjoying my football at the moment. After last season with such a long injury layoff, you don’t take that for granted. I am just trying to enjoy every game and get the most out of my football. I have to keep working hard to keep improving so I can stay in the team.
“We know Hibs have made a stronger start to the season in the league and they will be coming up here looking to get a result. But we have to focus on ourselves and try and play to our strengths and hopefully we can get the win. It is very important to go into the international break on a positive note.”
