“Yeah we probably were fortunate. We’ve got big Joe to thank for that for the double save at the penalty. But I think at one-nil up we had a couple of chances that if we take them and make it two or three nil then its probably a far more comfortable afternoon than we actually had.”
“I think December was a big month for us last year and one that really turned our season and I think we’ve kind of started that in November this year. So hopefully we can carry that on. We’ve had four wins out of the last five and we are just looking to carry that on for as long we can.
“Last season especially we put in a lot of performances against Rangers and took points off them, so we’ll be looking to do that again. As disappointing as the game at Ibrox was earlier on in the season, we’ve got to try and learn our lesson from that and go out and make sure we are far more on the front foot and much more aggressive and try and impose ourselves on the game.
“I think the run of form we’ve got just now means we are going into the game with a bit more confidence and we’ll be looking to make it five wins out of six. So that’s all we are thinking about and trying to put in a good performance and one that we know we are capable of.
“Rangers have got a massive squad and a massive budget and when you put that together their squad probably is stronger than ours. But it’s eleven v eleven on the pitch and we know if we play as well as we can, man for man, we are capable of getting a result.
“I think we are always going to be judged against the best two teams and we want to be up there.
“We would rather be judged on how we do against the teams at the top of the league rather than how we do at against the teams at the bottom of the league because we are all aspiring to be up there challenging.
“We always sit down at the start of the season and our aim is to get as far up the league as possible. With the way that Celtic and Rangers are playing just now – they’ve got a good gap away from us at the top of the league. So just for now we are all trying to focus on making sure we putting in good performances and getting as many points as we can.
“As I say before, last year December was massive for us and we’ll just be looking to try and have the same momentum going into the winter break.”
“It’s something we work on before any game and I am sure it will be no different in training tomorrow, we will be working on set plays and trying to come up with ways that we can make the most of them.”
Sam Cosgrove & Transfer Speculation
“We mostly just laugh about it! [The transfer speculation] Sam has been banging in the goals for a good period of time now and speculation is something he will expect and we will expect. We’ll just get one with it!
“We’ve got six games before the [transfer] window so for me it’s just about focussing on them and we’ll see what happens come January.”
European Championship draw
“It’s everyone in the squad’s dream to try and get to a major finals and when you see the group with England, Czech Republic and Croatia in it, it is something you dream of.
“But of course we’ve got two important matches in March to try and come through first before we even think about that. It is a nice carrot to look forward to in the summer but we need to try and get through the two games we’ve got first.”
