“From being sat in the stand, to getting my first Scotland U21’s game, to getting in the first team here.

“I’d been in the stand for nine games in a row and not on the bench then I was thrown into the Motherwell game and have never looked back.

“My partnership with Kari has been good over the last three games, but we need to keep it going and try not let anyone come back in and take my place. The way Kari talks to you during the game is very helpful and with his experience, he has started passing his knowledge onto me. It’s great for myself.

“It was a good atmosphere down at Easter Road at the weekend and having our home fans here (on Wednesday) it will make for a great atmosphere and a great game to play in.

“We’ve seen it in recent years that if we turn up on the day we can get a positive result against any team in the league and hopefully that will be the case on Wednesday and we will give them a good game.

“We’ve (Scotland U21’s) put ourselves in a good position and with two wins out of three. We are looking to get more positive results with two home games. if we can do that we will put ourselves in an even better position ahead of the next international break in March.

“I don’t really set myself any targets and normally take it game by game. I never get too carried away and look too far ahead.”
