“It was a very important win.
“The feeling is one of relief more than anything. We would have taken a 1-0 before the game. It was not pretty at times but we dug in there and showed good heart and togetherness. The boys worked really hard to get the three points.
“I know that I can produce a good delivery and thankfully I put in a good ball. It was a terrific header by Callum, he got on the end of it and he has put it in the right place.
“For me personally I have been here a long time and we are used to winning. So after going on run like that without winning and not scoring, I am just so happy to get the three points today.
“It is going to be another difficult game next week going back to Celtic Park but hopefully we can build on the win today. It is the business end of the season and we are going to have to get a lot more wins.
“We have always been a team who prides ourselves on cleansheets and we have manged that this season most of the time, it is now about getting the other side of things right. But we have got the attacking players in the squad to do that. We need to find some consistency in our play and create more chances and work the opposition keeper more.
“Having played three games in a week will have helped Flo and Callum. Flo worked so hard today and he now just needs that goal to really kick on. It is up to the rest of us to keep working really hard to create those chances for him.
“I have had a great time at Aberdeen and I want to continue that. We have plenty of games between now and the end of the season and hopefully I can chip in with some more assists and a goal or two along the way. There are a few seasons left in me. I feel good physically and I am working hard behind the scenes. Although I have not played a lot of football this year, I am always ready and ready to be called upon if the manager needs me to help my teammates.”
