Friday Night’s game

“We’re confident coming off the back of a good week with three great results. The lads are positive, enjoying training and looking forward to the game tomorrow night.

“In terms of results and morale amongst the lads on the training pitch it’s brilliant at the moment. It’s great to working in a good environment and we know performances can be better, but the results have been brilliant, especially this week where we’ve had an excellent week of results. We’re aware performances can be a lot better as a team and as individuals, so we’ve been working on that all week and trying to improve and get things better on the pitch.

“Like I say results have been very good last week with three excellent wins and we’re very pleased with that. We know we’re better than the performances we put in even with those results, so we can definitely improve and get better in our play. We’ve won three games in a row and we’re very pleased with that at the moment and we just need to take that positivity forward.

“Hibs are a strong team and we’ve had two very good games with them so far this season. They are a very good team and I’m sure it will be an excellent game tomorrow night.

“We’re not where we want to be in the league right now but we just take it game by game. Whoever it’s against, we know that especially at home, if we play to our ability then we’re confident we can win against anyone. We just need to take that positivity and that momentum into the game tomorrow night and if it brings us three points then it’s good.”

International Call Ups

“The international break we’ve got quite four lads in the Scotland squad and hopefully they’ll take confidence from getting selected for the national side and Niall’s in the Northern Ireland squad.

“Hopefully we get the positive result going into the break because you don’t want to go into a two week break on the back of a disappointing result.”

Devlin and Mckenna Partnership

“They are excellent together and I feel we’ve got a good partnership at the moment with the three of us. We seem to be defending well and staying in games. It’s not always going to be free-flowing attacking football that wins games. Sometimes you need to dig in and defend your box well, defend crosses and just be dogged to keep the ball out of the net. They’ve both got that in abundance and that definitely helps the team and gives a good platform to build on.”

Own Performances

“I do take confidence from the lads in front of me and we conceded which I thought was a soft penalty on Sunday, but apart from that it would have been three clean sheets in a row which would have been pleasing, but it wasn’t quite to be. We’re not conceding many goals at the moment and that breeds confidence in the defensive unit. It’s not just myself; Scotty and Mikey, it’s the team in general that are working incredibly hard to give us that sort of confidence to go forward. We’re certainly building a good platform at the back.”
