“It was a sore one to take in the end.

“Everyone who was here today knew that was not a 3-0 game.

“Celtic started off the better team in the first ten minutes and then we came into it. We started to play our game and put into practice what we had worked on. We were pressing and it felt like we were doing really well and you just hope that you score when you are in the ascendancy at Celtic Park. You hope that you can get that goal when you are ahead in the game and playing well.

“We needed to score in that period.

“We had them rattled a little bit but the goal before half time was a sore one. It took a wicked deflection. You hope that those goals happen for you when you come to places like this. But it wasn’t to be.

“In the second half we came out with the aim to keep doing what we were doing. At 1-0 we had a couple of chances. Kenny’s shot is deflected just wide and from the corner big Arnie is unlucky with his header. After that we were still pushing to try and get that equaliser but the second goal was a sucker punch. It looked from where I was standing like it was a really lucky goal. When you come here you don’t need that at all.

“It just wasn’t to be.

“I think we can take positives out of the 90 minutes. I thought the boys showed a great togetherness in the first half. We were pressing together and had a couple of chances but you need that bit of luck in front of goal.

“We can only put today’s result behind us and go into the next two games full of optimism and positivity and hopefully we can go into the break with six points.

“It has taken me time to gel in. I can only keep working hard in training and hopefully I can take that into games. The more games you play the more confidence you get. It is a new team as well. There are a lot of new faces but in the last four games we have showed that we have a right good team here.

“We just need to keep working hard and then come back after the break even stronger.

“I hope the fans were pleased with how we went about things today and I hope they did not go home too down hearted. It was sore one but we have to be upbeat and be positive going into Wednesday night. If we keep putting in good performances then the results will come.

“There is a lot to still look forward to this season.”
