On the facilities in Dubai:

“It’s amazing here. The hotel and facilities are incredible and the weather’s not too bad either so it’s lovely to be back out here. Obviously it’s a great place to do our work in January when it’s a little bit chillier back home.”

On the squad:

“The manager puts a big emphasis on everyone getting on with each other and a trip like this is beneficial to that, but we’ve got a great squad of boys. You could room with anyone in the squad and be at ease so it’s nice to have that time to get away with each other and have a laugh.”

On yesterday’s golf day:

“It shows how massive a club Aberdeen is that when you come here there’s big Aberdeen fans. It’s great to see and was good to have a chat with some of them and knowing they’re following RedTV and watching the games in places such as this. It’s good to know there are so many well wishers and followers looking out for us.”

On the remainder of the season:

“We’ll feel refreshed and ready to go for the second half of the season. I certainly feel like I’ve done that and I’m excited and feel in a good place. I just want to kick on and the second half of the season is the business end where trophies are handed out and there’s a lot to look forward to and a lot to be positive about.”

On a recent visit to New York with Ryan Christie:

“I’m still defrosting as it was very cold. It was a shock to the system- even being from Thurso I never experienced cold like that! It was an experience, but it was lovely and it’s a cool city. I’ve been before and it was an amazing experience. I feel here that Ryan has been like my shadow and I can’t get rid of him! It’s all good and he’s a good lad but it’s nice to be in the heat training.”
