Connor Barron gave his reaction to RedTV after making his first start for The Dons. The midfielder was named this evening’s Saltire Energy Man of the Match.
“I really enjoyed the game.
“In the first half we were not at our best. We knew how they would play and what was coming. We got to grips with that as the game wore on and we should have won in the end.
“The boys just need to keep pushing, we have another big game on Saturday.
“Personally, I really enjoyed it and thought I did well.
“Barry said to just go out and enjoy myself. He knows what type of player I am and what I can do, so he told me to go out and play my own game and don’t be phased by anything. Play your own game and enjoy it.
“I will take a lot of confidence from the night. Every game I play, I know what I can do and I know my ability. Everything is positive from my side.
“I have now got my first start under my belt, so I can only go forward from here.
“There are a lot of good midfielders at the club so you need to believe in yourself and believe you are good enough to get into the side. I will keep working hard and doing what I do every day in training to prove I am good enough to play in the team.
“I bring passion and commitment. I will always give 100% for the team. I want to win. I want to get on the ball but I can also do the other side of the game. I have a bit of grit about me.”
