Christian “keep the momentum going”

Christian Ramirez was singing in the rain for the Dons on Saturday, and – probably to the dismay of the rest of us – he’s happy to see plenty more of this weather!

“I said to Allan Russell at half-time that nobody told me about this weather when they were trying to get me to come over here! But if I score two goals in these conditions, it can rain every game!

“It was important we didn’t let Wednesday go to waste and that we followed up with another win today to keep the momentum going.

“The four of us up front – Marley, Ryan, Jet and myself, we interchange so much that it’s tough for defenders to handle that and we have looked dangerous.

“It’s like we’ve got 12 players sometimes when that’s going really well! We all make sacrifices, doing the dirty work for one another that maybe we lacked earlier on in the season, and it’s great that the goals have begun coming this week. Let’s hope it continues.”

“I think that result has been coming now, a multiple goal game. Four goals, it could have been more. It was exciting and I think the fans saw that. It is something we have been working on and thriving to do.

“We have stayed patient through the process and we reaped the rewards today.

“There are things to work on, we still need to take better care of the ball. We need to keep the same energy that we have been playing with defensively, with our press, and we need to continue to take care of set-pieces.”
