“We are all absolutely delighted in the changing room.

“The hat-trick was nice, but the most important thing was getting through to the final. Semi-final games are not always the prettiest, but the most important thing is to get the win which we have done.

“For the first goal most of the credit must go to Toby. He has put over a great ball and I was lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time. I just focused on getting it on target and luckily enough for me it has gone into the back of the net.

“I did not see the sending off incident so I cannot comment on that but even with the ten men they were dogged and made it hard for us. Credit to Kilmarnock, they really made us work for the win.

“For the second goal again, I have the easy bit to do! I just have to put the ball in the net. Miko has won it back and Seb, who is so good at breaking forward and breaking the lines, has found me and I have fired it home.

“With the third one I got the break of the ball on the edge of the area and I thought with the way things were going I would just shoot and see what happens. I made sure I got it on target and when you do that you never know what might happen.

“As soon as the penalty was given I could see Seb spiriting towards the ball. I am the penalty taker so I was none too happy about the situation! I will let him off though.

“I have already spoken to Adam Rooney! I will be telling Adam all about my goals tomorrow. Any time I score he is always the first to message me or speak to me. I look forward to telling him how it went.

“I am only 19 so to get the chance to play at Hampden at my age is brilliant. it is something we are all looking forward to. We are really happy to get there for Paul for all the hard work he has done with us alongside Scott Anderson.

“We can’t wait. Hopefully we will relish the challenge and go on and win it.”
