“It’s always difficult when a team goes down to ten because automatically they sit in and get deep and it makes getting crosses into the box difficult.

“You need to move the ball a bit quicker and hopefully someone beats someone with a bit of skill or something. Unfortunately, we played into their hands and the second goal is a bit of a killer. Frank’s come on and scored a great free kick and everyone’s thought at that stage we can go on and get at least a point. We never really in all honestly got another great chance in the game.

“It’s obviously very disappointing the way it’s gone, but there’s not much we can do about it now. We’ve got to make sure we work hard again in training this week and pick up the three points in the next game.

“It will be a difficult game, but the main thing is getting back to being ourselves. We’ve not been at the top level over the last few weeks and not played like we’re capable of. We need to make sure we work hard this week and if we can we’re capable of beating anyone so it’s all on us this week.

“That type of delivery is something we’ve worked on. I was actually offside I think so it wouldn’t have counted, but it was a great delivery in from Frank and that’s the type of delivery you’re looking for as a striker. The more balls we can get in like that the more chance we have of getting goals.

“It’s that time of year where there’s so many games so we can’t dwell on things. Nobody’s more disappointed than us lads in the dressing room. We came with the right attitude today and the work rate was there, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get that second goal to get a point. Everyone in that dressing room is desperate to put a winning run together, which we are capable of and we’ve shown over the last few years we can go on runs. Obviously the last few results haven’t been great, but every season you’ll go through spells where the results don’t go your way. It’s down to us to pick ourselves up and hopefully we can do that again.”
