Player Profile - Details

Scott is from Kirriemuir and has been with Aberdeen since he was 11.

Back then he was a left midfielder. He then moved to left back before playing as a central defender and it is at centre half where Scott looks to have a big future ahead of him.

Scott made his first team debut as a substitute at McDiarmid Park in the 4-3 win over St. Johnstone on the 6th of February 2016. He continued to captain the U20 squad for the remainder of the season and went on to make his first start for the first team against Hearts, being named the sponsor’s man of the match in the process.

Scott was drafted in during the early part of the 2017/18 season and put in a succession of impressive performances alongside the experienced Kari Arnason in the heart of the Dons defence. The campaign was a fruitful one to say the least for the defender and he continued to impress. By the end of the season Scott had established himself as a full Scottish international, capping off his second appearance against Hungary with a man of the match performance. He would go on to complete a hatrick of awards at the AFC Player of the year dinner sweeping the player of the year, young player of the year and Goal of the season award for his stunning 35-yard strike against Kilmarnock. Scott’s first match of the season was a first round Irn Bru tie against St Johnstone U20’s with the young Dons and ended with him leading out his country at the Atzeca in Mexico. A truly wonderful season was capped off for the young man.
