Jim Goodwin will take a strong Aberdeen squad north on Saturday to play Highland League side Buckie Thistle in their first pre-season game of the 2022/23 campaign, ahead of their training camp in Spain next week.

The fixture is also a deserved testimonial match for former player and now Buckie manager Graeme Stewart. Graeme is rewarded for his three spells as a player with the Jags and his time in the dugout which began in 2014. Buckie finished second in the Breedon Highland Football League last season, finishing just behind Champions Fraserburgh.

For those who can’t make the trip to Victoria Park on Saturday, the match will be streamed live.
