“Over the 90 minutes, there was nothing much in it. They started well and unfortunately they got the goal at that point which made it difficult for us, but I thought we responded well and played some very good stuff, especially in the second half. We can take a lot of confidence from the game into Kilmarnock on Saturday and then when we go back to Celtic Park in ten days time.
“It’s still hugely disappointing to have lost the game and it does feel like luck has deserted us at the minute, but if we keep playing like that, things will turn around soon. We’re working really hard right through the team and I do feel that once we get a goal and get a win, then we’ll be on our way again. It feels like we’re creating a threat, we had opportunities to score and the goals are coming, I’m sure of that.
“We want to win every game and to do that, obviously you’ve got to score goals. We’re well aware of the run we’re on but we’ve got to just stick together, keep working hard and things will change and results will improve soon.
“Flo has made an impact in these two games since he came in. He hasn’t played much lately so the more games he gets, the better he’ll be, the sharper he’ll get. I’m confident he’ll find the back of the net soon, and the same with Fraser too. Hopefully they can form a good partnership over the rest of the season.”
“The handball rule is difficult. There was one given against me in the second half which was the same as the penalty that we weren’t given, but when it is outside the box, maybe it’s easier to give it, there’s less pressure on it.
“The rule at the moment seems to be if it hits the hand, it’s a foul, so I don’t understand why we didn’t get the penalty. I’m not a fan of the rule, I think it’s very harsh when you’re defending if the ball ricochets off and hits you, but if that’s the rule then it has to be consistent. That’s all we are looking for as players and managers, so you get the same decision every week.
“I know it’s hard for referees to make decisions in real time but we’re not getting them go our way. Hopefully our luck will turn soon.”
