Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) is delighted to announce ESWL as the new sponsor for the extremely popular Soccer School holiday programme.

Soccer School is AFCCT’s most iconic and longest running ‘Football for Life’ programme. During the school holidays over 1,500 kids participate in the programmes which bring together children of all abilities between 5-14 years old.

This long serving programme hits its peak in the summer when AFCCT host over 180 kids per week at Balgownie Playing Fields. Children are coached daily from 10am to 4pm with each day sporting a different theme which adds fun and enjoyment all while developing their football skills.

ESWL, a leading oil field equipment supplier, has partnered with AFCCT to continue growing the number of children involved with Soccer School and to show support for football activities in the local community.

Speaking about the new sponsorship Managing Director of ESWL Iain Dougary said, “ESWL is delighted to support the programme and we’re looking forward to working with AFCCT to get as many children across the north-east involved in football as possible.”

Soccer School also travels outside Aberdeen City and into Aberdeenshire where the programme is delivered in areas such as Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Inverurie.

Emma Hunter Senior SFA Community Coach with AFCCT added, “This gives us the opportunity to continue delivering these fantastic camps not only in the city but across Aberdeenshire too. Its a huge partnership for us and we really appreciate the support and commitment from ESWL to be part of the community.

“For us to be able to keep the project going with so many other things on offer around the city is a massive bonus as we strive to continually improve and offer the best quality service it’s just a great opportunity for to like-minded organisations to work together.”

AFCCT focuses on three main pillars of activity to meet the needs of its local community, Education, Healthy Communities and Football for Life.

AFCCT use football as a tool to improve inclusion and physical health and wellbeing with delivery through participation, club development, league support and coach education.
