Aberdeen defender Mark Reynolds has joined Championship side Dundee United on loan until the end of the season.

Mark joined the club initially on loan in January 2012, signing a permanent deal the following season.

The 31 year old central defender formed a strong partnership with Russell Anderson and ever since has been a consistent performer throughout his time at the club. He missed one game during Derek McInnes’s first season and deservedly earned that campaign’s Player of The Year award.

Mark has gone on to make 237 appearances for The Dons, scoring seven goals but has not feared in 2018/19 after having knee surgery in July. In total he has played 444 senior games.

Manager, Derek McInnes said. ‘It’s a great opportunity for Mark to play regularly after being out for an extended period with an injury.

‘He’s worked so hard to get back fit again and Mark’s really motivated to do well at a club with lots to play for this season.’

A very popular figure at the club, everyone wishes Mark well during his stay at Tannadice.
