Bruce Anderson has this evening joined Dunfermline Athletic on loan until the end of the season.

An AFC Youth Academy graduate, his goals last season helped the young Dons get to Hampden for the SFA Youth Cup Final. A successful loan spell at Elgin City, where he scored six goals in 13 games, gave him experience of senior football and he has made his mark off the bench a number of times this season, famously scoring a last-minute equaliser against Rangers on the opening weekend of the season. This season the 20 year striker has made one start and 16 appearances off the bench, scoring two goals.

Commenting on the loan, manager Derek McInnes said. “Bruce is someone we have high hopes for, and I believe this loan spell at Dunfermline is the right fit for him and will provide a real opportunity to get some first team football.

“Like Scott Wright, the ambition is for him to come back to us a better player and to be pushing for a first team place.”

Everyone at Pittodrie wishes Bruce well during his time in the Ladbrokes Championship.
