The Vattenfall Award of the Month recognises outstanding commitment to the girls’ game from an individual, whether that be a player, coach or volunteer.

The winner of this award for November is Cassidy Cordiner!

Stacey Robertson, Cassidy’s U9s coach at Buchan, said “not only is she a pleasure to watch and a joy to coach, her enthusiasm for the sport is magical to see and be part of. We are extremely proud of the player you are becoming and the work you put in, so please continue to work hard and dream big!”

Cassidy attends Buchanhaven Primary School in Peterhead, an AFCCT Partner School and her teacher, Jayne Stephen, commented that Cassidy’s leadership skills went far beyond the football pitch; “Cassidy is a very enthusiastic pupil with a positive outlook. She is a vice house captain and displays excellent behaviour at school, a fantastic role model for other children.”

This month’s award was presented prior to the U9s Festival this past Sunday morning where over 120 girls were playing 5v5s. Over the course of the morning, close to 400 girls played between the U7-U11 age groups.

Congratulations from everyone here at Aberdeen FC Community Trust!
