Red And White Day | Friday 30th November

19 November 2018
Author Aberdeen FC Media Team

The Dons are heading back to Hampden to face Celtic in the 2018 Betfred Cup Final. With the final taking place on Sunday 2nd December we are encouraging supporters, schools and businesses in and around the city to once again get behind Red & White Day as we look ahead to the big occasion!

This year’s event will fall on Friday 30th November, which is St Andrews Day so we’re encouraging the Red Army to don their red and white colours with the added element of Scottish pride to celebrate Club, Community & Country ahead of another trip to the national stadium, our fourth cup final in four years.

During the 2016/17 season The Dons reached both domestic cup finals and despite missing out on silverware the support generated by our supporters and the wider community was incredible and everyone felt part of the occasion, which culminated in the massive displays that greeted the players in both finals.

With the club in yet another cup final it would be great to go one step further on and off the pitch, making this Red & White Day bigger than ever before! If you would like to know how to get involved read below.

Engagement

If you decide to get involved please share your images and posts on social media using #RedAndWhiteDay #Aberdeen, #StandFree or #COYR. Please tag @AberdeenFC or @AFCCT and we will share the best images throughout the week.

Competition – Squad Photo

We are inviting all schools, businesses and organisations to share their own ‘squad photo’ on social media on or ahead of Red & White Day. The winning entry will receive match tickets for the entire squad for a selected match at Pittodrie this season and we would encourage anything from waving saltires to Aberdeen scarves – have fun!

The winning entry will be selected on Friday 30th November.
