DONS FLYING HIGH WITH NEW PARTNER

Aberdeen Football Club and Aberdeen-based TEXO Drone Survey & Inspection (a Texo Group company), the leading supplier of drone survey and inspection services to industry, have today announced an exciting new partnership which will see AFC becoming the first club in Scotland to use commercial drones to enhance first team training.

TEXO Drone, who were previously AFC’s official young player Talent Partner and who have been a leading sponsor for the club in recent years, will provide commercial drones at training sessions throughout the course of the season to provide Derek McInnes a unique view of training and ultimately assist performances on the pitch.

As UAV Technology and Analysis partner of AFC and via an advanced tethered deployment system, Texo Drone will feed live pictures to the Club’s analysis software, for the AFC performance analysis team to review training with the AFC coaches as it takes place.

Greig Thomson, Head of AFC Performance Analysis, is delighted to be leading the way with cutting edge technology at Pittodrie, ‘As a club we are working tirelessly to be the best in the business in terms of the analytical support we provide the manager and first team in their preparations.

‘The partnership with Texo Drone will allow us to marry footage from training with our high-performance analysis software enabling us to give the manager and coaches insights in to training which we previously didn’t have.
