A strong second half performance from Aberdeen’s Under 18s saw them run out deserved winners of a competitive and entertaining friendly against Highland League outfit Keith at the Garioch Sports CEntre in Inverurie.

A 19th minute goal from Jack Chesser gave the Pittodrie Colts a first half lead after twice being denied by the woodwork but Michael Selfridge’s neat close-range finish drew the Kynoch Park team level seven minutes later.

A fine solo goal from Max Gerton put Keith ahead seven minutes after the break but an unanswered salvo of goals from Lewis Duncan (57), skipper Ethan Ross (66) and Sean Linden (79) was rich reward for some sparkling football from the Young Dons as they notched a fine victory.

Aberdeen Team: Mair, Strachan, MacKenzie (Barry 53), Chesser (McLaughlan 53), Robertson (Dalling 63), Tunrer, Linden, Barron, Dangana (Chicken 63), Ross and Duncan.
